Made to Measure Support,
Made for Your Changing Body

From the first days of pregnancy through to the early months of motherhood, your breasts undergo amazing changes.

Whether you choose to breast feed or not to breast feed, the size and weight of your breasts will increase. With no muscle in the breasts, this can put considerable strain on the ligaments that hold them in place.

So when you are pregnant, the right bra is vital in order to help:

    •  Prevent overstretching of the supensory ligament.
    •  So preserve your shape.
    •  And maintain the position of your breast.
    •  Aid posture to relieve pressure on the diaphragm and balance the pelvis.
    •  Reduce unnecessary discomfort.

After childbirth, especially if it is via Caesarean Section, a bra can help recovery by elevating the upper body and promoting good posture.

If you do choose to breast feed, a bra that does not compress the breast will

    •  Promote easy milk flow
    •  Reduce the chance of blocked milk ducts and mastitis

Bra-Doctor has been making bras for pregnant women and new mothers for 20 years. All our bras are designed for health and comfort, both before and after baby.

Working with the antenatal and postnatal clinics and in private consultations, we supply made-to-measure bras. Made just for you.

“As a Midwife I have often seen pregnant women wearing ill fitting bras, even when they have been measured for that bra. I am personally convinced that this can contribute to problems of the breast such as mastitis especially when breastfeeding..I can honestly say I have never been so comfortable wearing a bra as in the bras that Mrs McDonald has fitted.”
