If you have decided to have a prosthesis fitted, then Bra-Doctor recommends that you are fitted with a made-to-measure bra as soon as possible. In fitting the prosthesis, the technician will use your bra as a guide - so it is vital that the bra fits well and truly reflects your body. This will aid the technician in achieving a symmetrical, natural look.

If you have decided to have reconstructive surgery, then a good fitting bra will hold the reconstructed breast in its optimal position after surgery. This will minimise the risk of “rotation” of the implant and aid recovery. In minimising the displacement of the breast tissue, it will also encourage a good breast shape.
